Football Recap: Oregon City Piles Up the Points Against Barlow

Oregon City's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Barlow Bruins 49-3. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Bruins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kaeden Emerson had an outrageously good game as he threw for 285 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Cavan Rogers was Emerson's top target, picking up 112 receiving yards and one score.

Oregon City didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Barlow to a completion percentage of just 45.8%. The Pioneers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Oregon City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Madden Sendek and Kyle Jacobs.

Oregon City now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Barlow, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Oregon City has already played their next matchup, a 33-7 victory against Skyview on the 26th. As for Barlow, after each having a week off, they and Nelson will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. Barlow will be up against Nelson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
