Basketball Recap: Lewis Angapak Comes Up Short

Lewis Angapak lost against Akiuk Memorial on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lewis Angapak Blue Jays might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 44-33 to the Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blue Jays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Lewis Angapak lost, don't look at Rhiannon Nicholai. Despite the final result, she made all 7 shots she took for 16 points. Emma Friendly was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lewis Angapak's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Akiuk Memorial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
