Centerpoint waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They snuck past the Elkins Elks with a 44-40 win.

Centerpoint has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Elkins, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centerpoint will welcome Ashdown at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Elkins, they will face off against Berryville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Elkins has won three straight at home, while Berryville won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
