Volleyball Recap: Amundsen Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

There's no place like home for Amundsen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Elmwood Park Tigers 2-1.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Amundsen who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 16-25, 25-17.

Amundsen is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Elmwood Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season.

Amundsen will challenge Clemente at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Elmwood Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
