Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Floydada). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Quanah Indians 25-24. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-8 on April 1st.

The victory made it two in a row for Floydada and bumps their season record up to 7-10. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Quanah, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Floydada is set to square off against their familiar foe Lockney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Quanah will challenge rival Clarendon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
