Softball Recap: Wilmot Comes Up Short

Wilmot lost against Union Grove last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers lost 14-4 to the Broncos. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wilmot saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lizzy Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another was Payton Biddle, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Wilmot's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Union Grove, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Wilmot will face off against Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Grove, they will take on Kenosha Bradford at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
