Softball Recap: West Seattle vs. Lincoln Lynx

West Seattle had lost three straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 4-10 to make it four. They came up short against the Lincoln Lynx, falling 11-1. West Seattle was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lincoln earlier this season, when they won 10-6.

West Seattle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Molly Lefkowitz, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

As for Lincoln, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9. Considering they have won five matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Lincoln's side, Dakota Blokker was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Riko Hibino was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Coming up, West Seattle will face off against Holy Names Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Holy Names Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.79 runs per game on average), something West Seattle will no doubt try to take advantage of. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
