Soccer Recap: Riverton/Tri-City Find Success

Riverton/Tri-City was not the first on the board on Thursday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth Cardinals 2-1. This was payback for Riverton/Tri-City, who suffered a 5-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Jackson Nibbe and Julian Rice scored both of Riverton/Tri-City's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Riverton/Tri-City is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matchups. As for Warrensburg-Latham/Maroa-Forsyth, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9-1.
