Football Recap: Coahoma Piles Up the Points Against Kermit

Coahoma got themselves on the board against Kermit on Friday, but Kermit never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 51-0 win over the Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Austin Joslin was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 178 yards and four TDs on only 14 passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Those 178 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Wells, who picked up 77 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Coahoma's run defense was locked in: Kermit could only muster three yards per carry. The team can thank Levi Green for the heroic effort on defense: he. Coahoma's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.3.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Coahoma, racking up 15 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Austin Molina, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Coahoma's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Kermit, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
