Soccer Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston lost against Kenai Central back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hawks came up short against the Kardinals, falling 11-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Houston were already down 5-1.

Houston's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Kenai Central, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Houston will be playing at home against Kodiak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Houston will be up against Kodiak's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.5 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kenai Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Kenai Central are facing Homer at the right time seeing as Homer are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
