Softball Recap: Cedar Hill Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Cedar Hill had to endure a 17-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Dawson Bulldogs 5-4.

Lily WILLIAMS made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). WILLIAMS was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Cedar Hill's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Dawson, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Cedar Hill will be taking part in a tournament against Ferris at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Dawson, they and Peaster will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
