Football Recap: Grafton Drops Season-High Score on Shrewsbury

Grafton won the last time they faced Shrewsbury and things went their way on Saturday too. The Gators took down the Colonials 24-7. The Gators' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Grafton had a senior duo take command as Zeeland Youngblood gained 235 total yards and a touchdown and Sean Griffin threw for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.

Grafton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

The win got Grafton back to even at 2-2. As for Shrewsbury, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grafton will take on Westborough at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shrewsbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Doherty Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
