Basketball Recap: Queen City Prep Comes Up Short

Queen City Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wesley Christian Circuit Riders. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 272nd in North Carolina, while the Circuit Riders are ranked 64th in Kentucky).

Queen City Prep now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Wesley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

Queen City Prep and Harding University will face off at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Wesley Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oak Hill Academy Red at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
