Basketball Game Preview: Green Ridge Tigers vs. Leeton Bulldogs

The Green Ridge Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Leeton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Green Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Montrose by a score of 58-49 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, Leeton won against Lakeland on Tuesday with 65 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Leeton put the hurt on Appleton City with a sharp 65-45 victory.

Leeton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Green Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Green Ridge skirted past Leeton 46-44 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Green Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
