Baseball Game Preview: Riverdale Rams vs. Erie Cardinals

Riverdale is a perfect 3-0 against Erie since April of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams will square off against the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. Erie took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Riverdale, who comes in off a win.

Riverdale took a eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Rockridge, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Rockets 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Austin Duke, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Erie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hall.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Erie, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Riverdale beat Erie 6-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
