Football Recap: Bermudian Springs Comes Up Short Despite Dakota Laughman's Big Defensive Game

After flying high against Susquehannock last Friday, Bermudian Springs came back down to earth. The Eagles received a blow on Friday as they fell 21-6 to the Manheim Central Barons. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while the Barons are ranked 115th).

Even if they lost, Bermudian Springs' defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Dakota Laughman with two.

Logan Geib was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 42 yards and a pair of scores.

Bermudian Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Manheim Central, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Bermudian Springs and Manheim Central will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Eagles will take on rival Delone Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Manheim Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Conrad Weiser at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
