East Prairie had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Chaffee Red Devils with a sharp 70-45 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Red Devils are ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Prairie's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Chaffee, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

East Prairie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-53 loss against Scott City on the 7th. As for Chaffee, they will head out to square off against Delta at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
