Baseball Recap: Edgar Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Edgar's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers on Thursday. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Edgar has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-7 record this season. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.

Edgar has already played their next matchup (against Clear Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Wittenberg-Birnamwood, they will take on St. Mary Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
