This season hasn't been kind to The Connection School of Houston Bears, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were dealt a 61-29 loss at the hands of Humble Christian on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to The Connection School of Houston of the 44-23 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.
The Connection School of Houston's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Kyron Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with five assists and four steals for Humble Christian. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Starlard, who scored 13 points.
The Connection School of Houston bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Humble Christian, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
