Basketball Recap: Idea Academy Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Idea Academy won the last time they faced IDEA College Prep, and Cloe Bernal did her part to make sure it happened again. The Idea Academy Titans strolled past the IDEA College Prep Griffins with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 34-19 thanks in part to Bernal, who posted 14 points and eight steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.

Victoria Paz was another key player, putting up three points in addition to seven boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in February of 2024.

Idea Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.5 points per game. As for IDEA College Prep, their loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Idea Academy has already played their next matchup, a 37-22 defeat against IDEA Quest College Prep on the 24th. As for IDEA College Prep, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vanguard Academy Beethoven at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th.
