Basketball Recap: Lyman's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Mary, Lyman was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 39-13 margin over the Crooms Academy Panthers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Greyhounds as it put an end to their 13-game losing streak.

Lyman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiya Angry out in front who posted ten points. The dominant performance gave Angry a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Armstrong, who put up nine points.

Lyman's win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-23. As for Crooms Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

Lyman will square off against Oviedo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oviedo will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lyman surely won't give up without a fight. Crooms Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
