Basketball Game Preview: Duchesne Eagles vs. Beaver Beavers

Duchesne hasn't had much luck against Beaver recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Duchesne Eagles will jump right back in to play the Beaver Beavers at 10:00 a.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Duchesne is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 31-24 win over St. Joseph.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Beaver against Grand County on Friday as the squad secured a 59-16 victory. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Duchesne pushed their record up to 18-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points over those games. As for Beaver, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Duchesne couldn't quite finish off Beaver in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 and fell 48-45. Can Duchesne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
