Softball Recap: Wetumpka Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Wetumpka's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Benjamin Russell Wildcats with a sharp 15-5 victory. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Taylor Carlisle was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Bailey Carlise was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Wetumpka pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 30th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Benjamin Russell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
