Basketball Recap: Grant Community Comes Up Short

Grant Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Palatine Pirates, falling 54-29. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Pirates are ranked 174th).

Grant Community's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Palatine, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-10.

Grant Community has already played their next contest (against Round Lake), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Palatine will welcome Fremd at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
