Softball Game Preview: Grandview Zebras vs. Rice Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Grandview will face off against Rice. The Zebras will square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Grandview has ten straight victories, Rice has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Grandview's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Rice 18-0. The result was nothing new for the Zebras, who have now won 17 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Grandview pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Rice, they now have a losing record of 8-9-1.
