Soccer Recap: Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Cristo Rey managed to keep up with Centennial until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Cougar lost 7-2 to the Stars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cristo Rey of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

Matthew Roberts and Jethro Bioh scored both of Cristo Rey's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

Cristo Rey now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Centennial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Cristo Rey is taking a road trip to square off against Columbus Torah Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be Cristo Rey's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Centennial, they will square off against Columbus International at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus International will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight.
