Soccer Game Preview: Mayfair vs. Norwalk

Mayfair is 1-9 against Norwalk since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Mayfair Monsoons will welcome the Norwalk Lancers at 3:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mayfair's offense. They fell 2-0 to Dominguez on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Monsoons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 903rd, while the Dons are ranked 304th).

Meanwhile, Norwalk entered their match against Gahr on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Norwalk took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gahr.

Norwalk's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3-3. As for Mayfair, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-2.
