Soccer Recap: Foothill Tech Takes a Loss

Foothill Tech fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dunn on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Dunn Earwigs by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 747th, while the Earwigs are ranked 342nd).

Erick Valdez and Kaizer Castillo scored both of Foothill Tech's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Foothill Tech and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Dunn, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Cate the next time they take the pitch. Dunn will host Cate at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Foothill Tech will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
