Basketball Recap: Bartlesville Piles Up the Points Against Southside

Bartlesville saw some tournament action on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 59-28 win over the Southside Mavericks. The contest marked the Bruins' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Sami Sheaffer was her usual excellent self, going 7-for-12 to rack up 21 points. What's more, she also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January. Cadence Gray was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight boards.

Bartlesville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Bartlesville's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Southside, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Bartlesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-36 victory against Carthage on the 6th. As for Southside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-36 defeat against Sunrise Christian Academy on the 6th.
