Lincoln-Way Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against Stagg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Knights are taking a road trip to face off against the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln-Way Central has 16 straight wins, Stagg has 15 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lincoln-Way Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Downers Grove South on Monday. The Knights blew past the Mustangs 16-3. Considering the Knights have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Brooke Seppi looked comfortable as she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carly Karales was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Berkshire, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Lincoln-Way Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Stagg came up short against Evergreen Park on Saturday, falling 12-2.
Lincoln-Way Central's victory was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Stagg, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.
Everything went Lincoln-Way Central's way against Stagg when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Lincoln-Way Central made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
