Vega is 5-0 against Sanford-Fritch since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Vega Longhorns will head out on the road to take on the Sanford-Fritch Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Vega will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Vega didn't have too much trouble with West Texas as they won 38-23. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Comanches are ranked 733rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sanford-Fritch has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 59-28 defeat at the hands of Stratford on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since November 18, 2023.

Sanford-Fritch's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Vega, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.

Vega skirted past Sanford-Fritch 45-43 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vega since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
