Stratford came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cypress Ridge Rams an 8-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven goals or more this season.

Stratford's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Cypress Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2.

Coming up, Stratford will be playing in front of their home fans against Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Stratford surely won't give up without a fight.
