Basketball Recap: Chaney Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Chaney Cowboys came up short against the Solon Comets and fell 68-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cowboys came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Comets are ranked 262nd).

Chaney's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Solon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaney will host Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaney is facing Cardinal Mooney at the right time seeing as Cardinal Mooney is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Solon, they will take on Berea-Midpark at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Berea-Midpark's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
