Basketball Game Preview: Riverton Parke Panthers vs. Dugger Union Bulldogs

Riverton Parke is a perfect 3-0 against Dugger Union since November of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will host the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Riverton Parke will be strutting in after a win while Dugger Union will be coming in after a defeat.

Riverton Parke took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Covington 43-19. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 27-7.

Annie Campbell was a one-woman wrecking crew as she dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Jacee Stonebraker was another key player, putting up six points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Riverton Parke smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Dugger Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 37-27 to Red Hill.

The victory got Riverton Parke back to even at 3-3. As for Dugger Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything came up roses for Riverton Parke against Dugger Union in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-29 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
