Preview: Santa Fe Chiefs vs. Rim of the World Fighting Scots
The Santa Fe Chiefs have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Rim of the World Fighting Scots at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Santa Fe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Rim of the World likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Santa Fe beat El Rancho 35-25. Santa Fe pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit El Rancho cut but never quite recovered from.
Tariq Bush was his usual excellent self, rushing for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry. Bush was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Meanwhile, Rim of the World suffered a rough 40-14 loss at the hands of Kaiser on Friday. Rim of the World was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.
Santa Fe's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points per game. As for Rim of the World, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
