Baseball Game Preview: Barnesville Trojans vs. Perham Yellowjackets

Barnesville is 0-10 against Perham since May of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will host the Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Barnesville is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They fell 7-4 to Staples-Motley.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last nine matchups, Perham finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They fell just short of Anoka by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Yellowjackets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Perham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Detloff, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Perham fell to 13-1. As for Barnesville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Barnesville might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Perham in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
