Soccer Recap: Piedmont Academy Comes Up Short

Piedmont Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the John Milledge Academy Trojans, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Piedmont Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 417th, while John Milledge Academy are ranked 120th).

Piedmont Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for John Milledge Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Piedmont Academy and John Milledge Academy will both be playing Tattnall Square Academy the next time they take the pitch. The Cougars will head out to face the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trojans will head out to face them at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
