Football Game Recap: Carolina Christian Cavaliers vs. Hickory Hawks

Carolina Christian Cavaliers were able to grind out a solid win over Hickory Hawks on Friday, winning 20-12.

After a totally unproductive first quarter, the Carolina Christian Cavaliers offense stepped up its game and put 14 points on the board in the second quarter. Hickory Hawks wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 12 to make it 14-12 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Carolina Christian Cavaliers in the second half, holding Hickory Hawks to a measly 0 points. The victory bumped Carolina Christian Cavaliers' record up to 4-3. The loss dropped Hickory Hawks' record to 1-6.

Next week Carolina Christian Cavaliers take on Buford at 7:30 PM. Buford are cruising in on a four-game winning streak. As for Hickory Hawks, they will face off against Robbinsville. Hickory Hawks' defense better steel itself: Robbinsville are averaging 42.29 points per game.
