Basketball Recap: Wiscasset Comes Up Short

Wiscasset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Buckfield Bucks, falling 46-7. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Wiscasset's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Buckfield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Wiscasset will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Tree Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Buckfield, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Temple Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckfield's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Temple Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
