Soccer Game Preview: Hallettsville vs. Bay City

Hallettsville is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Bay City is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Hallettsville Brahmas will welcome the Bay City Blackcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Hallettsville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Rice Consolidated. The win continues a trend for the Brahmas in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Bay City hasn't lost a match since January 17th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They never let Calhoun onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Blackcats have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Bay City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those nine contests. As for Hallettsville, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
