Fort Wayne South Side dropped their record down to 6-9 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 14-3 to the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Archers of the 15-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Fort Wayne South Side saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Peterson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

On Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's side, Paul Baumgartner was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Baumgartner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Collins, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger beat Fort Wayne South Side by a score of 8-0 on Thursday.
