Baseball Recap: Cross County Falls to Palestine-Wheatley in First Game of Season

Cross County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 9-3 to the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots on Monday. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Parker Duncan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Looking ahead, Cross County will challenge Harrisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palestine-Wheatley, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Arkadelphia at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
