Basketball Recap: Slocum's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

If Slocum was feeling good fresh off their 84-27 takedown of Trinidad last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Slocum Mustangs fell 58-49 to the Coolidge Yellowjackets on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-53 back in January.

Slocum moved to 17-11 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Coolidge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mount Calm the next time they take the court. Slocum will host Mount Calm at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Coolidge will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
