Baseball Game Preview: Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs vs. Indio Rajahs

For the second straight game, Coachella Valley will face off against Indio. Coachella Valley is taking a road trip to take on Indio at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coachella Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Indio's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Coachella Valley fell victim to Indio and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Rajahs by a score of 1-0. The Mighty Arabs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Indio's part, not much got past Jose Rodriguez, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Coachella Valley off the board. Rodriguez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Indio saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another was Julian Mandujano, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Indio has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. Coachella Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
