Football Recap: Omak Pioneers vs. Colville Crimson Hawks
Omak blew Colville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Colville got their revenge. The Pioneers fell just short of the Crimson Hawks by a score of 25-22. The Pioneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crimson Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
When it comes to explaining why Omak lost, don't look at Payton Smith. Despite the final result, he rushed for 75 yards and a pair of TDs.
Among those leading the charge was Brock Benson, who threw for 208 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 50 yards and one score. A healthy portion of Benson's aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Bridger Lewis.
Omak now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Colville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.
