Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Trail). They put the hurt on the Richwood Lumberjacks with a sharp 21-0 win on Thursday. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.
Stephanie Harrell made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. She also scored a run, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Abby Parcell was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Mary Mcgraw was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.
