Volleyball Recap: Windermere Prep Takes a Loss

Windermere Prep lost against Foundation Academy back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakers came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0.

While Windermere Prep ultimately came up short, they really made Foundation Academy work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-19, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Windermere Prep lost, don't look at Sophia Wadsworth. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and two aces. Wadsworth has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Windermere Prep's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Foundation Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Windermere Prep will welcome Montverde Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 18th. As for Foundation Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy on the 11th.
