Volleyball Recap: St. Thomas More Comes Up Short

St. Thomas More was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Breese Central Cougars. The Sabers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Leading Breese Central to victory were Zoey Kuhl and Adalyn Morris. Kuhl had five digs and three aces, while Morris had eight digs. Those five digs gave Kuhl a new career-high.

St. Thomas More's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Breese Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.

Coming up, St. Thomas More will host Pontiac at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Breese Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Mater Dei at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
