Volleyball Recap: Seligman Comes Up Short

Seligman was the 3-2 winner over Music Mountain when they last played one another on September 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. The Antelopes fell 3-1 to the Warriors on Tuesday.

Seligman started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-20.

Haileigh Solberg paced Seligman's offense, picking up three kills. Solberg got some help from Sharrisa Walker and her two assists. Finally, Desiree Coffin kept Seligman's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Seligman dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Music Mountain, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-10.

Seligman has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Salome on the 2nd. As for Music Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Williams on the 2nd.
