Volleyball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Takes a Loss

Angeline Academy of Innovation was the 3-2 winner over Hernando Christian Academy when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Archers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Monday. The Archers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 13-25, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Angeline Academy of Innovation saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mia Root had 13 digs and four assists.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hernando Christian Academy, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.

Angeline Academy of Innovation has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Nature Coast Tech on the 7th. As for Hernando Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Seven Rivers Christian on the 7th.
